Yantai Haisen Big Data Co., Ltd. (as “Haisen Big Data”) is an innovative enterprise for the research and application of materials big data. The company is located in Yantai Development Zone and was registered on November 21, 2019. It is a subsidiary of Xianhua Technology.

Main Business:

(1) The company is committed to providing materials big data services to universities, research institutions, and materials research and development enterprises. The services include material data retrieval, property prediction, high-throughput screening, simulation calculations, inverse synthesis solutions, etc.

(2) Our applying big data and artificial intelligence technologies can support new material development solutions to the customers, such as new material design, material modification, etc.

Core Technologies and Products:

1. We developed and established a materials data platform by ourselves, which has collected data for over 160 million organic compounds, 32 million literature indices, and more than 3.1 million chemical reactions. By utilizing big data technology, these datasets have been cleansed, processed, organized, and standardized to establish a materials database. Multiple organic material descriptors have been constructed, enabling the prediction for the organic molecular properties, such as absorption spectra, color, dielectric coefficients, emission spectra, density, etc.

2. A retro-synthesis system has been developed, including single-step and multi-step retro-synthesis. The system offers a series of preferred synthetic routes from target substances to raw materials, providing valuable references for customers.

3. We independently developed “Darwin Material Evolution System”, which integrated big data and machine learning. And the system can achieve material structure auto-generation, iteration, optimization, and evolution.

Weihai Fang: Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, a leading figure in theoretical and computational chemistry in China, Director of the Key Laboratory of Theoretical and Computational Photochemistry of the Ministry of Education, Councilor of the Chinese Chemical Society, Director of the Theoretical Chemistry Professional Committee, Standing Councilor and Chairman of the Beijing Chemical Society.

Yue Chen: General Manager of Haisen Big Data; Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Beijing Normal University. He has been mainly engaged in OLED material research under the guidance of Academician Weihai Fang. He previously worked at the research institutes at Kyoto University and Hokkaido University in Japan. And he is one of the “Double Hundred Plan” in China.

Lin Shen: Professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Normal University; postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hong Kong and Duke University. In 2019, he was selected into the overseas high-level Talent Introduction Youth Project of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. He specializes in machine learning algorithms for the development of new materials.
